These were the words being passionately sung by our taxi driver as we rode home from the mall yesterday. While I have to admit that Nazareth sings a mean post-break up ballad, I had to wonder to myself if the taxi driver knew what the words he was singing meant…probably not, but he did an impressive job of mimicking the sounds (especially the high notes, Carrie would be proud), and he brought me a little memory of home at the same time…

Just wanted everybody to know that we have successfully arrived in Brazil! We arrived at about 10:00 this morning (6:00 AM Texas time) and unloaded our bags off of the belts and headed to customs. We then went through some questioning as to why we would be bringing 6 large bags into Brazil, but after alot of explaining, several X-rays (of the bags, not us) and a quick bag search, we were allowed entry into our future home (and Max was allowed to come as well!). We plan to go to care of documents tomorrow and maybe even start some preliminary searches for apartments! We’ll keep you up-to-date!
This title is not actually the quote you are thinking, it is actually the words I said as I stood triumphantly over my computer after completing all assignments to finish up my Masters degree this evening. Over the past three weeks I have written nearly 60 pages, almost 48,000 words and read 500+ pages of research. I can’t tell you the relief it is to be finished with all of this, especially before heading to Brazil on Tuesday!
I hardly have words to express my utter dissappointment, nay, disspair that the Cowboys are on a bye week on our last Sunday here in the states. There is not much more I can say…
